Hambleton is a small village in Lancashire which merged with Fleetwood, Thornton, Poulton-le-Fylde and Preesall to form the Wyre Borough Council. There are two pubs based in Hambleton called, "The Shard Riverside Hotel" and "The Shovels Inn".

Homeshield provide CCTV installation services in Weeton which is a small town divided by moss land. The southern part of the town is occupied by Weeton, the north by Preese and Mythop on the west and the east by Swarbrick.
In 1670, Charles Earl from Derby ran a weekly market in Weeton and a cattle and small wares fair every Tuesday after Trinity Sunday. The town also has a parish council. A hairy ghost has been sighted by some residents in the area and there is an ancient burial cairn however sadly we have been unable to capture the hairy ghost on any of our CCTV camera we will report back if we do.
Carleton is a village within the Fylde Coast, which previously fell into the area of Poulton-le-Fylde. There is a traditional pub in the Carleton area called, “The Castle Gardens” and there are plenty of areas to eat. Suda Thai restaurant and takeaway is a popular amongst the locals, Gleaves newsagents, fish and chippy, convenience store, barbers, many hairdressers, dry cleaners, pharmacist and a doctor's surgery.

Singleton is a very beautiful area and looked upon as the model village of the Fylde Coast. Singleton is written about in the Domesday Book and was redesigned as an estate village, late in the nineteenth century by Thomas Miller.
It is believed that Singleton was home to one of the most notable Lancashire witches, Mag Shelton. Singleton is beautifully situated in the middle of great farmland and has, despite years of growth kept its identity as a village. Preesall is a quaint town overlooking the eastern bank of the River Wyre with a population of around 6000 people. The town includes Pilling Lane, Preesall village and Knot End-on-Sea. During the Danish attacks on the village during the 9th and 10th century, the River Wyre was occupied. It is believed that the names Preesall and Hackensall are of Norse origin and that Preesall means “a hill and a heath”. Of great archaeological significance is the previous Hackensall Tide Mill situated in Preesall. Homeshield continue to provide CCTV and Alarm solutions to customers in the Preesall area.
Pilling is situated Over Wyre. The civil parish of Pilling extends to Stake Pool, Scronkey and Eagland Hill. Pilling was originally an island that had the sea on one side of it and the marsh on the other. There is evidence of some human activity in this area that dates back to the Neolithic period. The Garstang railway was built from the stones that remained from the local school which was knocked down due to it becoming dilapidated. The windmill that stands in Pilling was built in 1808 and due to the sea level being below Pilling, the mill stands at 22 m tall and is the tallest on the Fylde. The mill was in operation until the 1940s, after which it was beyond repair and became a private residence. Homeshield are happy to provide our security solutions to properties in Pilling.
Homeshield cover the area of Great Eccleston a peaceful village that is secluded and quiet. It's hidden away from tourists which means that residents can enjoy the village in peace. It is lined with rows of quaint cottages and luxurious houses with a few shops here and there. The village was such a place of importance at one time that it was dubbed “Little London”. Obviously this nickname was chosen by someone who hadn't frequented London.
The Great Eccleston Village Centre has a whole host of activities going on from computer skills to yoga, it was opened by Princess Anne. The bridge was constructed in the 1830s and requires a toll of 40p to drive across it.
Out Rawcliffe is a small village that sits on the north of the River Wyre in Lancashire, this is an area targeted by out of town opportunist. With around 800 occupants the village has only one Anglican church which was constructed in 1838. In earlier years the village also had a primary school which was unfortunately shut down due to the lack of students. The village hall is popular with villagers and holds a monthly quiz night.

Wrea Green is perhaps most well known for the Grapes pub restaurant which is in the heart of the beautiful village. The Grapes pub won Lancashire's Best Kept Village award and its history dates back to the 19th century.
During the summer, cricket is often played on the green which is the largest in Lancashire and each year it proudly hosts Wrea Green Field Day, a magical festival and fair that ends with the announcement of the Rose Queen. Winmarleigh is a village and civil parish, situated near Garstang and Cockerham. In 2011 the population stood at just 272, the village is home of an agricultural college and the Duchy of Lancaster has his estate there. The great manor of Winmarleigh Hall was built according to the instructions of the Duchy of Lancaster, then gifted to the first Lord of Winmarleigh. T
In 1870, Winmarleigh railway station was opened along the Garstand and Knot-End Railway. The name of the railway station was then changed to Nateby in 1902 before being shut down in 1930. Homeshield carry out work in the Winmarleigh area.
Cockerham is roughly 8 miles from the south of Lancaster. It is neighbored by the Parishes of Forton, Pilling and Thurnham. There is a fantastic restaurant in the village, a farm shop, ice-cream parlour, local pub and the parish hall where many events are hosted in the massive purpose built hall. Cockerham is home to a number of caravan parks and holiday homes making it the perfect place for tourists. There are plenty of walks in and around Cockerham which attract locals and ramblers. The grand and glorious St Michael's Parish Church is situated in this village where many marriages have taken place. Churchtown is a suburb of Southport, but had it been the main settlement things could be very different today. Southport would not be as grand as it is and Churchtown would have been spoiled as Gladys Armstrong chairman of the Civic Society declares.
Vikings invaded the area in 940 so there are many place names of Scandinavian heritage. The Hesketh family rose to prominence in the Tudor times where they bought many properties within the area. Their private dwelling is Meols Hall and weddings in the barn help with payments towards the up keeping of the hall and grounds. Nateby is a small village in the area of the Wyre, in Lancashire near Garstang. Nateby has a local primary school, a Church and a post office. At one time it had a railway station, but this was shut down on 31st March, 1930. The manor is owned by the executors of the deceased R. Thompson, Esq. Admiral and MP Roger Strickland was the second son of Walter Strickland of Nateby Hall. Nateby is in the area of Eden in the district of Cumbria. The village is close to Kirby Stephen and 15 miles away from Hawes. It is also only 3 miles from North Yorkshire.
